Vignette: Duluth

In July 2008, Ruth and I attended a Finnfest in Duluth. The 2008 Finnfest website still has a downloadable 2009 calendar with pictures of Duluth including a wintertime overview (go to page 2 of the pdf) and a view of Leif Erickson Park. A replica of a Viking ship was still being stored in the city.

According to this Wikipedia article, the blue coloring in the flag represents the sky and the many lakes in Finland. The white represents snow. The cross represents Christianity.
