A1. Some Issues

Catastrophic anthropogenic global warming (CAGW) theory is taught in some schools but it is controversial. The case for skepticism can perhaps be best followed in blogs such as Bishop Hill, Climate Depot, JoNova, No Frakking Consensus, NoTricksZone, and Watts Up With That?

CAGW Issue Explained in Bishop Hill:

What’s a sceptic?” October 21, 2012.

Disputes about the value of rail transit can be followed locally in the Coalition on Sustainable Transportation website. The Antiplanner website has described problems in Portland and elsewhere.

The controversy over high-density residential development vs. suburban development is sometimes discussed in Joel Kotkin’s website. Kotkin’s interest in demographics is shown in “Demographic Dead End: Barack Obama’s Single Nation” in newgeography, October 18, 2012.

Subsidies for commercial development can also be controversial.

So there is much to talk about.
